Have been many times from mid September through to the end of October.
Our favourite time of the year to go. We have experienced lots of different weather from torrential storms to glorious hot days. It CAN sometimes be a little cooler in the morning or evening, though we have been and never worn anything other than t shirts, humidity isn't a problem.

We went 25th September last year and unfortunately got caught up with the hurricane so did lose quite a bit of precious holiday time. It's the peak of hurricane season, so definitely something to bear in mind. It was hot, humid and wet. Rain did stop play a few times, but other than the actual few days before the hurricane it wasn't too bad - much better than when we went in June 2012 (where we had the after effects of 1 tropical storm and the full brunt of another!)
Moral of the story - avoid going to Florida the same time as us - we bring bad weather!
