I've had one on my all my trips in the last 10 years , including last one in 2015. hopefully will have one again in 3 weeks. you will only get one big suitcase in the boot. we have to put our other one on the back seat but we leave the top up when we do. other than that the boot is big enough for day to day stuff.
can really think of any downsides , fuel economy is OK, but but cheap Florida petrol helps.
perfectly comfortable and easy to drive. i would always recommend.
i rent mine from hertz, you pay a bit more but you get great service from them.

I think you better check the spec of the new model mustangs.
No more live rear axle, no leaf springs, but fully independent rear suspension now.
Look

It is a marvel the mustangs independent suspension on the road. On one hand on a perfectly smooth road it is capable of giving a spine jarring jolt from a piece of gravel yet when you turn a corner wobbles side to side like its hopping sideways. anyway here is my extensive list of why a mustang is terrible.

Terrible seats.
Terrible ICE system
Cheap nasty plastic interior.
No handle to open the boot from the outside so you have to dig in your pockets for the keyless key to open it.
Boot itself is made of cheap plastic.
Unresponsive steering.
Awful suspension makes ride very unpleasant
Useless brakes.
Keyless entry is not keyless you need to unlock it by pressing the button unlike all other keyless cars where you tap the door handle.
Gearbox has a mind of its own and cant take instruction.
Ridiculous door sill light.

I drive a gtd golf at home and the only thing the mustang has on it is that it has more power. I bought a 5th hand daewoo that was 12 years old and had 120k miles, ciggerette burns everywhere, horrible damp smell and door trim pieces falling off this was a better car than the mustang.

I couldn’t agree more other than the above it’s a perfectly ordinary car.

I had a dodge challenger last year for 2 weeks, just me and girlfriend. we managed to get two large cases in the boot and hand luggage on the back seats. We both loved the car and it made the holiday! we did manage to get a 5L version

We have ordered standard convertible for next October, really looking forward to it Glad we did not bother this July as it would have become a car shaped paddling pool:angry:.

I'm hiring one in February. Not telling DH so will be a surprise. Just the 2 of us so not worried about space.

Had one in February this year for me my wife and 6 year old son. it was brilliant we all loved it. For me it was worth every penny. But each to there own.
