We have breaks in the middle of the day. Everyone's different but neither of us can do a full day in the park.

Generally get to the parks around 9 and leave around 1. Either have lunch before we leave or eat at Disney Springs. Have a swim/rest and then back out around 5/6.
It works for us. It helps that it's just us 2 but we fit a lot in and still have a relaxing holiday.

I haven't read the replies but can I just say its a holiday...the chances are you have saved hard for quite a while to get there...do it at your own pace...do whats best for all your family... you can always go back! Enjoy!

I'm here now - day 10 and so far have done seaworld twice, Universal twice, KSC, Busch Gardens & Aquatica (all full days). We've had a shopping day, a pool day and currently contemplating today as it's quite overcast. Our Disney passes are active from tomorrow and we have a very packed 15 day schedule to get all the parks in plus another trip to each of SW, UO & Aquatica.
We have always been at this time of the year and it's hotter than normal - it's been tough but doable with lots of breaks and drinks.

When we went for our once in a lifetime trip in 1999, we spent all day every day at park and came back needing a holiday to get over it... 18 years and many trips later, we take things much slower and have more down time. It helps when you've been before as you have an idea of what you want to do again, and what you don't need to do. We do either early starts or late finishes; not both on the same day anymore. Achy knees and hips play a bigger part in our plans than they did when we first started going!
