Silly Q re dates
I guess i know the answer really but i have a 3 week window for when i wish to travel will i save a considerable amount of money if i don't start my holiday on Saturday. Just doing a dummy run and it looks like i could save a t least a little bit.

For us flying on Monday/Tuesday is our preferred choice because of work and we've always found those days are cheaper than a Friday or weekend too.

It's not always the case that it's cheaper to avoid a Saturday, we've actually found this year (and on at least one occasion in the past) that it's cheaper to fly on a Saturday.
You've done exactly what I normally do which is book 3 weeks and book to go on the cheapest day. You have the flexibility to fly on the cheapest day, not necessarily to avoid the Saturday

Thurs-Mon were dearest for us, Tuesday and Wednesday were the cheapest with no difference in price. We booked to go on the Tuesday.
6 weeks today

We are flexible on dates and our flight dates are mostly based on the cheapest day to fly.
