Newbie - help please, looking for October 2019

Hi
I’m new to all this and no idea where to start
There are two families, 4 adults and 6 children. Think we are pretty much decided that a villa with a pool is our preferred option. Couple of questions
Am I better booking as a package?
Or seperately?
When is the best time to book?
I’ve been quoted £11,100 for both families from virgin for 5 bed villa with pool, flights direct from Manchester and car/mini bus hire... is this a good price?
Thank you

Hi, welcome to the DIBB,
Our first trip (18 yrs ago) was a package, then we found out how much cheaper and better DIY turned out to be. There will be loads of Dibbers on here who will give you answers to all your questions..and more...they are great.
Have a look at flight & car hire combined such as BA, usually all your vehicle insurance's are included. Checkout a Dibb villa or homeaway to see if anything comes within your budget. Don't forget to add on theme park tickets and travel insurance...but ask away plenty of people on here will help you...Happy planning

Really? That’s a big difference in price... what am I being over quoted so much? Am I trying to book too soon?
How much should I expect to pay for flights? Is the best price usually the price when they are immediately released?

That seems pretty pricey. You may be best looking for flights at 11 months out and either a fly drive or do car hire separately. Lots of people with villas to rent on here so that’s worth a look.

We are going this October- family of 5 - will be about £7k for 16 nights including flights car 11 nights at Disney 5 nights off-site Disney tickets and all food x

Also if you’re willing to be flexible about where you fly from and too it can save loads of money. We’re flying into Fort Lauderdale and out of Tampa and it was about £1000 cheaper that direct to Orlando
