(possibly) Silly Fast Pass question

Hi all

My Fast Pass prebooking 2 week window starts tomorrow (off site, 30 day thing)

So my question ... eg for Epcot I want to book for Test Track, Earth thingy and Frozen thing (brain off-line at the mo). If i can only get 2 for the AM and 1 in the evening, is it worth booking the later one?

Am I right in thinking you can't book any more FP's until you've used all 3 of your prebooks?

Are there more fp's avail on the day for the popular rides (FoP etc) or shall i grab what I can.

Yes, you can only get another once the last one has been used.

Also, you can only get frozen or test track as one of your initial fast passes as they are both in the group where you can only pick 1, along with Soarin and Illuminations.

the chance of getting them on the day is very slim (and almost 0 to be honest)

The best advice I could give is book 3 FP+ straight at your 30 days mark, even if you need to default to not so desirable FP+
and then, very regularly, use the "change" FP+ function, and try to find one you like more. Sometimes FP+ get cancelled and you can be lucky
using the change function will not change your FP+ unless you validate the change, so don't worry (change individual FP+, not the whole lot)

even if you've prebooked your FP+ you can still go on the app or at a kiosk on the day, and find out if there are more insteresting FP+ . Still using the change function

but as a PP said, you can't get additional FP+ until you're used your first 3, so it's no use only booking 2 . Book 3 and keep checking.

I would try and get your 3 FP in the morning, then if in the park longer get more as you go. A couple of weeks ago I got Test Track, Frozen Ever After and Spaceship Earth for 8 of us on the day, using a lot of refreshing (break down into groups of 2, grab any time you can for a ride you want then try sons modify it to the time you want)

Getting FP+ for the headline rides on the day will not happen. It may not happen if you try to book the night before even.

Experience from week after Easter 2016 when all that was left at HS on the day for instance was "the muppets" after 7pm (when you could walk in at 11am anyhow!)

Was that even if you tried refreshing a few times? Not easter, but I was amazed how many rides we could get on the day on very busy days including Presidents' Day weekend.

Sorry just thought I'd put the picture out there - everyone was telling us how we could update when we were there, but it just didn't happen for the headline rides - Muppets/small world - yes, BTMRR, Space mountain, Test track - nope...

We did not have the full app - it was a few weeks before that came into existence - but we "used" the FP electronic update points and the numerous CMs wandering the parks with ipads ("can you find us FP for anything?"). And of course tried the updating the day before from the villa etc.

The CMs at the FP queues for the mountains etc. were going nuts - "no, there is no FP available for this ride til 11am tomorrow... etc

with the app there is more chance - but, as to busy days... we have been on Presidents day weekend and most other holidays (other than Christmas) and the week after Easter was much busier.
