Aer Lingus, anyone had success phoning after completing online refund request
Hi
Apologies if it’s been cover and I’ve missed it while searching.. Has anyone had success phoning for a refund after having completed an online refund request. Alex |

I haven't but I have a friend who has, they wouldnt initially talk to her as she had completed the form but did eventually agree to sort out the refund while she was on the phone, they told her 7-10 days for a refund, the money was back on her credit card 8 days later.

I didn’t request a refund just a voucher but after waiting 9 weeks I rang and received it 5 hours after the call, worth a shot

Interested too as DD did the online form recently. As far as I know, it's not back on card yet, will wait and see! Wish she'd phoned though...
(I told her to ring them as I did, for same flights on 19th Aug. I was on phone for 5 mins and money back on card within the week.) |

We did. Rang a week before flight as had heard nothing from AL, but could see our flight out was leaving from LHR rather than BHX. Told to fill in cancel form and did so but flights did not disappear from online schedule. So rang back two days before due to fly to find out what was going on. Refund was dealt with on the phone and money back on card two days later.

Rang in last week. The guy told me one of our flights had been cancelled and offered me a full refund.
2 days later quidco confirmed so I ended up with £52 more than I paid. My girls and me are gutted re this year. OK. I've got my money back. My heart goes out to anyone still pushing for refunds. All of us are I'm sure gutted and would rather things be different.

I did check a lot of the Aer Lingus threads but I’ll admit it became a skim read of them looking for an answer. I couldn’t find any post where after having completed an online refund request, with little success, they subsequently phoned and managed to get a refund quickly. Good to see that there has been some who have managed a result but it would appear that the quickest way to get a refund is by phoning. Alex |
