My gran is 94 and shielding. I contacted the 'housing' back in June when they tried to do some routine work.

I explained gran was shielding and access would only be granted with a risk assessment. Not had a visit since.

If I can't go in no non essential trade is.

Today found out that maintenance had sent in a painter yesterday and today to paint the whole flat.
With the resident and carer in the flat.

What would your reaction be?

I'm not saying too much else but I would appreciate your views.
I think that's dreadful Scotty. Hope your family member and carer will be ok.
Have they both been vaccinated yet?

Well I hope you are not mad at me but today I asked DIL to put this to her management team who till Christmas Eve she was actually in charge off ( her thoughts as a manager would have been first client capacity / any care guardianship protocols in place what she expected her team to do,on the front line etc )
They hummed and hawed her advice to them was right now put a protocol in place as so many care homes in Scotland are under investigation about care in the pandemic
Her actual personal answer / maybe action is not for a family forum but it contained. In polite company something like on your bike / or A wellknow, tennis player=words etc

If you mean me, then no, I am not mad at you. I feel that all care facilities, whatever type should have very secure procedures in place.
It had been taken to CE who wanted a formal complaint made. As long as it doesn't happen again, to anyone else whatever the care situation.

That is so wrong then. Legal guardian should have been asked. No consent gained, no entry for an non essential reason.
