18th birthday lockdown style

Well my first born turned 18 today - i don't feel old enough to have an 18yr old well it certainly isn't how we had planned it. Party was supposd to be last night, going out for drink today, her buying haha but sadly no, instead she wanted a mcdonalds breakfast, we ordered afternoon tea to be delivered- the cakes are amazing! We've had socially distanced doorstop singing every time family or friends have dropped presents on doorstep so the close definitely know it is her birthday. We have sparklers and singing candles to light shortly, plus she has started on the prosecco (no college tomorrow ). She is also having a whatsapp party tonight with the boyf and friends. It certainly isnt the 18th she had planned but making the most of it- she said she'll the party for her 21st

Ah a very happy 18th to her, it was my DS's 18th this week also, we did all that we could and went large on decorations (& cake that is now sliced and frozen!).

Certainly not what we had planned, but he had a lovely day, like you we made it special in the ways that we could.

Helps that they can have their online parties with their friends

Happy 18th birthday to your son.

I just said to her why should she be the only one not to have a lockdown birthday haha looks like mine will be in lockdown again- oh well. She seems happy enough, cakes are going down very well (so is the alcohol).

Happy 18th birthday to your daughter 🎂🥳🎉it’s such a shame she has not been able to celebrate but hopefully in the future she will! my twins are 21 next week and I have no idea what to plan I suppose it will be a cake and takeaway 🤷 Just seems a bit flat 🙈

Happy Birthday to all that are celebrating their extra special birthdays. I'm sure there will be some brilliant parties when we get through all this x
