Cheapest place to sell shares online

I am in the position where I have to sell a very small amount of shares (under 50) worth roughly £400 before charges as at todays date.

Does anyone have any suggestions for an online broker/sales site for a straight forward sale that would be reasonable?

Please note I have no choice about keeping them or donating them to a charity (I would if I could). Many thanks for any help.

How are the shares held - do you have a physical certificate?

I have an account on Hargreaves Lansdown its 11.95 a trade. If you have a certificate I think one of the only company I could find taking them at the moment is
x-o/ they charge 5.95 a trade

Cost is unlikely to vary by much. I'd go to the registrar of the company, likely one of Computershare, Equiniti or Link.

Go to the investor relations part of the website of the company the shares are in. This will detail the current registrar, and contact details.

They will have a sharedealing facility for paper certificates in companies they act for.
