My 15 yr old son would also recommend the maze runner and hunger games, and would add Divergent

My DS was an avid reader and had read most of the series mentioned so far at an earlier age. Do you know what sort of books he likes eg sci-fi, war, thrillers, crime? By 14/15 I was buying DS adult books by Ian Rankin, Lee Child, James Patterson, Anthony Horowitz, Peter James to name a few.

If you are not sure which type of books he likes you could give him an Amazon Voucher to be used for new books. My kids went through a phase of reading on a Kindle but went back to real books so they can share them with each other and friends. I used to buy sets from the Book People but they are not taking orders at the moment but you may find some suitable sets at a reasonable price from The Works.

There's a trilogy for teenagers called the nine lives trilogy by E R Murray (the book of learning/shadows/revenge). I read them a few years ago & really enjoyed them! Though I am a bit biased. I went to secondary school with her & she was the first crush I ever had!

Still a great trilogy & they are currently 99p each on the kindle
