The lady my sister knows sells this paint to a lot of customers who paint their kitchens. My sisters friend is in the middle of doing hers. I think as long as the units dont have a gloss sheen it works really well. You could try a tester pot on the inside of a door. Take a look at some of the kitchen makeovers on the website. X

One of the people who replied to your kitchen makeover thread had painted hers using the frenchic paint too.

I was going to paint my kitchen with the rust oleum paint I used but in the end as I have such a small kitchen and doors were in a sale we just replaced the doors. I wouldn’t hesitate painting kitchen cupboards now with any of the chalk/mineral paint , I would even get OH to wrap them in sticky back plastic now I have seen what fridge can look like 😀

I've got doors I hate in the house. Would love to change all 10 of them to oak with more modern chrome handles. Not in the budget at the moment. As I'm going round decorating I'm painting them as a temporary solution. The painter did the downstairs loo one. I'm still not a fan of the moulding but I like them better white than dark. Not that much difference from these doors to some kitchen cupboards.

Have to agree your doors look much nicer white - were they done with French chic paint too?

No normal satinwood but I think the frenchic would cover better because theyve taken 5 coats with satinwood.

I’m glad I found this thread as I’ve been meaning to get round to painting an oak sideboard I have in my living room.
I’m thinking of keeping the top wood and painting the body of it in a soft grey. My question is what should I do with the handles, I’m not overly keen on the ones on there and I quite like the simple brushed chrome knobs which I could do if I used some wood filler but I don’t want to ruin it. What do you guys think? This is the sideboard And this is my inspiration |

That would look lovely with new handles. Leave one of the holes on the big doors to put your knob on, wood chrome or clear crystal type one. Fill the other and paint over. Just mark out a hole for the drawers to put the new hole on. It will be lovely when it's done. I changed a brown flat door by painting it and changing the handle. Will take a picture of the handle in a min.

Just placed an order with a local stockist for Wolf Whistle in the Frenchic lazy range. She's dropping it off on Saturday for me.

Just bear in mind chalk paint takes up to 3 weeks to fully cure so make sure your painted project doesnt get knocked when its freshly painted. Post a pic when your done would love to see it.x
