It depends how far down Beverley Road you go. The main roads in Hull are very long and can go from awful to really nice within the course of a few hundred yards. Anlaby Road runs East/West from the town centre (as does Hessle Road, Spring Bank, Holderness Road, Hedon Road) and Beverley Road runs South/North.

Old Town is really nice in areas - very quaint - but you're opening yourself up to traffic chaos when the Castle Street works start. And parking will be a nightmare.

As others have said come up with some places and we'll try and guide you.

I think it's a bit harsh saying not east Hull, theres some nice villages but you need transport. The top end of holderness road towards bilton is ok too
