help with fastpasses - AK?

Hi,

Just looking for advice from anyone who has been please...

If I can only book 1 fastpass in AK from Tier 1,should I be lucky enough to get one, which should 1 go for ...Avatar Flight of Passage or Na'vi River Journey?

I know there's not much chance but just trying to prepare...

Also do I need to use one of my Tier 2's on Rivers of Light or will I get a space somewhere to be able to see?

FOP first as seems to be hardest to get.

That said I got both on release day (60 days) then went back in 2 weeks later and got FOP, 8.25pm - seems to be good evening availability, and supposed to be good to see area at night too.

I am booking a meal to get ROL view (on dinning plan).

FoP no question. I would book Navi if I had a second day in AK (I'm planning two half days partly for this reason) but no way would I book it over FoP. I'd rather keep that tier 1 slot open and hope for some cancellations.

I wouldn't use a FP on RoL as it will lock out the whole day for additional passes, but would recommend the dining package if you were interested in eating at Tusker House or Tiffins anyway. If you're not, just get there early enough to join the standby line.

Good luck. ROL if you cant get a fp then i suggest either a dining package or getting to standby at least an hour before it starts.

Is Animal Kingdom now a tier system like Epcot and HS ?

Yes it is tiered, FOO and Navi RiVer are in same tier!

How is anyone getting FoP? Tried booking 60 days out today and it was unavailable at 12 when I logged on, and I know I'm not the only one that this has happened to

As other posters have noted, FoP must be the priority. We got one for August at 60 days out but not on the day we originally planned to go to AK. So if you can be flexible, you will have a better chance.

We are spending one and a half days at AK, so we got a fast pass for Na'vi River on the second visit as well as Rivers of Light as we plan to spent the evening there and see Pandora at night!
