You may want to check your roaming data - my nephew used his on a cruise going to Bruges & Amsterdam, but during the sea days it flagged useage as Norway which is outside EU and was hit with a large bill! Luckily mobile company refunded, but always worth checking!

Have you booked any excursions yet?. We've booked trains to Rome and Florence through Royal Caribbean as the distances from port is too far to comfortably do DIY but the rest of the ports we are planning to do our own thing.

In terms of mobile data, when you're at sea you'll be on the maritime network which costs mega bucks and isn't included in the EU free roaming deal. When you're in Port you'll be fine to keep in touch but once your our of Port you will be on the expensive network and will be billed.

Thanks for the info Ms kitty

I looked at the itinerary and we didn't seem to swing that far from the shore once we are in the med. Day 4-10 we are at port most days I suppose I can have roaming off and only use it when i pick up a network.

I'm certainly not giving RCI £150 for two weeks net access on one device

No not yet my wife has some mobility problems at the moment so I'm waiting to see how she is. I doubt Rome will be doable too much standing around but would love to visit Florence.

Bump only two sleeps until we leave for Southampton
Finally found someone to house sit and look after our house and dog as well

Still haven't packed yet. I really don't feel like dressing up for dinner I have to wear suits all the time for work so wearing them on holiday would be depressing. I hope it's not too formal I'll stick on a shirt and trousers for the evening meal if dining in main dining.

My son only has sports wear and we aren't buying outfits for him for the cruise either.

So we'll see what happens...
