DD asked for the central heating to be turned on tonight. No way that's happening we are Scottish , the heating is only on when the icicles are hanging off our noses. She's wearing a hoodie & a blanket.
I put the laundry in the tumble dryer as yet again it's been raining.
It's all over the press/news about how hot it is, they don't mention daily how cold/wet/snowy it is up here.
PS I am ginger so happy not to have to wear suncream daily

Come a wee bit further south and it is hot! I hate thunder and lightning, but could really do with it to clear the air a bit! Although I am not complaining, I do like the heat, I just seem to tolerate it a lot better in Orlando!

Never mind - remember it's always a good laugh to watch the panic and hysteria when a flake of snow lands down south in the winter.

See and that is what bugs me , it's not hysteria from us southerners though, it's the media .
They like to make it sound like the end of the world when in reality we just get on with it.
It's our public services that all out panic , we just get annoyed when we can't get to work or the schools close which to be fair isn't often anymore .
Papers like the Daily Mail are the worst for this

We are on the East coast in Scotland and it's to be a balmy 13 degrees on Monday with a high of 14 for the rest of the week

Currently sat at home waiting on the boss finishing work so we can head off to centre parcs for a break.. then Blackpool next weekend.. I really need to work on my timing.. missing the grand day out .. by a week ! Back to the weather. We're just north of Glasgow. The weather doesn't bother the boss.. if it's raining she'll find stuff for me to do inside, and if it's sunny , stuff outside 😎😎. Seriously though the press do go on about heatwaves etc.. (minion still working on list Helen &#128521

We actually put the heating on one day a couple of weeks ago - it was so cold so I do sympathise with my friends further north. We have just had 5 or 6 really hot days but it was too hot for comfort and nightimes were awful.
Oh For a happy medium.
