Thank you for all the comments everyone! I'm back with a very overdue update... never did I imagine it would take me so long to get this report on the dibb!
Let the rest of the food trippy commence! Friday 23rd Sep - Universal Studios So today was our first park day, exciting! After a year of waiting I was eager to make an early start to the day. Everyone woke up about 7am this morning so not as bad as yesterday. Had breakfast in the room, fruit and cereal. Off we went to universal, by the time we got out the door caught the bus and arrived in city walk it was soon 12pm. I was feeling hungry by this point as I didn't have much for breakfast. We had lunch at monsters cafe as we where doing universal studios today and to be honest it was the closest place! It didn't disappoint though, DF and DM shared the extra large cheese pizza slice and I had the bacon cheeseburger. The pizza was nice not soggy or overly greasy, easily fed 2 people. The bacon cheeseburger just hit the spot, the bacon was nice and crisp beef was juicy and it was served with fries which everyone enjoyed! Not bad for park fare and only cost $20, would go back again but not exactly at the top of our list. Doesnt look overly appetizing but it satisfied the hunger Once fueled and ready to go me and DF went on rip ride rocket and the mummy. This was our first time on Rip ride and we absolutely loved it! defiantly not DM cup of tea so she gave it a miss. On to diagon ally, my personal favourite. This place is breath taking everytime! DM was feeling a little peckish so got a butterbeer ice cream from Florean and Fortescues costing $5.49 before tax. Just what the doctor ordered on a hot Florida day! You guessed it folks another fountain It was really hot and humid today, with this only being our second day we hadn't climatised yet. Never the less a few ICEE slushys around the park helped cool us down. We got these at a stand near Men In Black, they where so refreshing. We got blue raspberry, orange and lemonade costing approx $10 On the way out of the park we decided to sit outside of the hard rock cafe to finish off our drinks and take in the atmosphere. We had a browse around the rock shop and the chocolate emporium as it wasn't open during our last visit. And of course it would be rude not to! All the treats in here are sooo tempting, i knew I wasn't walking away empty handed. It may have took a while but we all decided on macaroons to take back to the hotel. We got pistachio, peanut butter and jelly and lemon(i think) costing approx $10. Not cheap but they where worth it as they where delicious. Not an exciting dinner I'm afraid, we where all feeling pretty tired after a long day. We shared the chicken tenders we bought from publix along with some other nibbles. Edited at 06:19 PM. |
