For us it is 1900 Park Fare restaurant at Grand Floridian then boat over to Magic Kingdom, on the boat is when we say "we're home", has been every time. First ride we don't really have, but, going into Town Square Theatre and meeting a Princess, Tinker Bell or Mickey is nearly always the first thing we've done the last few times.

I have good and bad news for you. The ticketed event won't make any different to the PP queue, as they can ride it beforehand and it's only small numbers of tickets sold. Your problem is going to be the new rope drop procedure, as everyone can get up to the hub (i.e. past CP) about an hour before the park opens. So you'll exit breakfast and be behind the crowds.

I'd suggest grabbing an early FP for it and enjoy your breakfast.

For us, we head to AK and after breakfast at Tusker House, we do Festival of the Lion King.
When the tumble monkeys have tumbled we are firmly on our holibobs.
