Mobile How busy is Universal now?

Leaving in a weeks time and just wondering how busy Universal & IOA are? Was thinking of buying FOTLP if Qs are too bad.

You're going to be there during school hols and the week which includes 4th of July... my guess is it'll be busy, busy, busy.

Re: FOLP. I just checked and you can book a room at the RPR on July 6th for £316 inc taxes via BA.

That will give you 2 days of FOLP included... an absolute snip in early July.

If you were to buy FOLP as a 'standalone' they would set you back $550 per day ( I've based that on 4 people ). If there are just the 2 of you then it's cheaper just buying FOLP, any more and booking the hotel wins hands down... FOLP passes for 4 people for 2 days would set you back $1100 - £868! !

If you do just opt for FOLP and not the hotel... I'd strongly suggest you buy them BEFORE you go and not on the day, since they have every chance of selling out given the crowds in July.

Wow thats a pretty good deal! When you think about it 2 days FOLP for 4 people = 8 passes.

So 316/8= £39.50 for each pass, or about $50, plus the included hotel room perks like early entry. I'd even say 3 people would benefit from it, though as you say maybe a couple would not.

Definitely seems like that would be the way to go if you do decide on the pass. I know it was a major factor in choosing RPR for me.

We went weeks surrounding 4th July in 2009 and the waits were not great - often 40-60 minutes at least, and that was when attendance was a lot, lot less than it is now. I would probably book it for peace of mind, but it's up to you.
