DVD rentals

Anyone ever rented a DVD from those red boxes outside the likes of Publix or Wallmart?
If so, how do they work? Do you use a credit card or are they cash rentals? Are the rentals for 24 hours?

I have used the ones in Publix but have used my US debit card.

The rentals are per day, not exactly 24 hrs (rent on a Friday take it back on a Saturday) in my experiences.

We use them all the time when we are over at both Publix and Walgreens.

We use our UK debit card but enter the house ZIP code and have never had a problem.

Very easy to use. Just follow the on screen instructions. If you go on the website you can see what DVDs are available at each box and reserve it so you can guarantee it is in when you get there.
