Character breakfast at MK or AK?
Never done this before. Where is cheapest? Do you pay for babies? Thanks for any info!

From memory I think the price is pretty similar,
We have done breakfast at both parks (Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh & friends) and Tusker House (Mickey and friends) respectively). I much prefer Crystal Palace, food wise it is pretty much the same between them (but I think my favourite item, the breakfast lasagne, is only at CP). Babies are free, allowed to eat off your plate. Though of course given you can eat unlimited food, you can load up a plate and bring a separate plate back for the little one. We did CP paying out of pocket in 2014 with a 9 month old, with a 2 year old (still free) in 2016 and with a 3 y/o (DDP) and 1y/o (free) in 2017. It will be on our plan again for next years trip. Its also worth looking at breakfast at Ohana (Lilo and Stitch + Mickey) at the Poly and Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) if the characters are a better match for a day at Magic Kingdom, (especially now with the new opening method you don't get the benefit an 8am ADR at crystal palace use to give you in beating the queues.) |

For us the Crystal Palace was a better option when with a 1 year old. The characters (winnie the pooh etc) were less intimidating and it was lighter and didn't feel as cramped as Tusker House. We found Tusker House to be louder, harder to move around and not as friendly. You could always book and cancel (up to 24h before) if the little one doesn't get on with characters.
If you are doing a before opening Crystal Palace booking then look for the dedicated turnstiles - we missed these last time and got told off (unfriendly CM from Leeds which was v disappointing). But if you are coming from the bus drop off side there are no signs to direct you! |

All character breakfasts are about the same price.
We always enjoy Crystal Palace, and with a 1-y-o I would have thought Pooh and friends is a good option. You don't pay for a 1-y-o. |

If I were to book one for the first morning, will the ticket booths be open for us to collect park tickets early?
