I looked at Tesco online last night, expecting to have to wait a couple of weeks for a delivery, and managed to get a delivery for this Saturday. There were a few slots available, so I'd suggest people keep checking as they may release extra slots.

If you do do Click n Collect pick a time as early in the morning as you can get, they start picking at 5am so you have more chance of getting what you order then.

The op mentioned skimmed milk - since lockdown I've not seen this anywhere in the stores I've been in. Is it a case of being one of the products - milk - that has been reduced to most commonly ordered? Ie semi skimmed ? Bit like 60 sausage choices down to 10?

My husband bought skimmed milk in Aldi yesterday. Also M&S had it this week

Can anyone confirm if the substitute rule has changed for time being as they could substitute something with a random item! I can't find anything online about this

I hadn’t saw anything online about this but perhaps if you’re worried maybe you could remove the option for them to substitute? I think they are not accepting returns to the driver at this time.

I have left subs on mine as I’d like to think the pickers will try to at least get something similar and as I cannot go out at all something would be better than nothing.

Thanks. My mum has done an online order and has got herself into a mess with it so my sister has logged in and is sorting it for her. Will leave on subs as I expect there will be many and would rather her get an alternative, even if odd, rather than be left without 😊

That was my thinking.. most things I’m ordering would have lots of varieties and brands so you’d hope the pickers would select the nearest like for like.

I am sure more than likely if there is nothing suitable as a substitute they will simply list the original item as out of stock as they will be aware you are unable to hand back things you don’t like or want to the driver at the moment.
