Universal - 1 day enough?
Just looking online at universal- trying to decide on whether to buy 1 day hopper or a 2 day one. We are 2 ad and 1ch. Not into the big roller coasters at all. Going primarily for HP so will get the hopper tickets. Just wondering if 1 day is enough or whether to spend the extra for 2 day ticket. We are staying at Royal Pacific for 1 night so will have early entry and express passes for the time we are there.
Any opinions?

As you’re staying at Royal Pacific for a night you’ll get the express passes for 2 days. I’d buy the 2 day ticket to maximise the use of the express passes.

If it doesn't bust the budget I think I would go 2 days then you can access parks both days you have express passes. You never know when a storm can scupper your plans if you are limited to one day.

We take a day to do Universal and a day to do Islands of Adventure. We also pop in on our 'free' days if we want to repeat rides or just have a wander around. We did a one night stay last time at RPR to make the most of the early hours.

Two days and you will utilise them well given you already have express passes available.

You could probably do it in a day with express passes but I think it will feel a bit rushed. If your budget allows you to do 2 days I would definitely do that. You will be able to take your time and enjoy all of the HP areas and re-ride your favorites

We always do one day with an express pass and manage it all, but it is a full on day. We go for park opening and leave at park close and using the express pass we manage to do everything once.
If you aren’t interested in the roller coasters you can definitely do it all in the one day but it would still be a lot of walking, especially with a child. In two days you would be able to break up the days and have some chill/ pool time to make it less exhausting and still manage to see everything at your own pace, doing rides more than once if you wished to. If Harry Potter is your main goal and you aren’t too fussed about the rest of universal then I one day is absolutely doable and would save you the money if buying a two park, two day ticket. |
