Split stay
Looking at adding a cruise on to a split stay next August, probably the 3 day cruise. My question is how do you most of you get from WDW to the port? X x

If you are staying onsite and then going on a Disney cruise Disney have a bus service from your resort to the cruise terminal at Port Canaveral and return. I am nearly sure there is a fee for it though!

In terms of getting two and from port, if there is more than 2 of you the Disney bus transfer isn't probably very cost effective. You may want to consider a one way car rental or even a private transfer as it might be cheaper. If you look in the sticky on this board there's info on some of the transport options.
Also if time/money allows I'd always opt for a 4 night just because 3 never seems enough and you don't get the added benefit of the sea day where they have different activities to the other days when they are in port.
