Acer laptop help?

Most of the time it has been locked by mistake.

Try FN F6 or F7. If you look at they keyboard there is usually an icon which gives a clue as to what that FN key does.

By "keypad" do you mean the keyboard? The numeric keypad at the side of the regular keyboard? Or do you mean the touch pad where you control the pointer?

If the keyboard isn't working that that'll make typing reports very difficult with a mouse. But I think you might mean the touchpad (sometimes called the trackpad)?

It was the touchpad broken, I told her press f7 she said mum I’ve done that I’m not stupid!
Today she did it and it worked, so panic over, we are still going to see her Saturday because she wanted some stuff from home.
