Mobile Thomas Cook no food on plane

Friend has just returned from Orlando flying with Thomas Cook via Glasgow

Told me he had to buy the meals on the plane and a lot were complaining they didn't have meals

Thought you always got meals included on long haul flights

When you book a Thomas cook flight From Uk to Orlando the meals are included in the price going out and on return you do have the option or purchasing other food item on the flight from the inflight service.
So Im not sure where they get they had to pay on the flight from.

Extras:Included economy flight premium double the bagage allowance

23KG Baggage Allowance x 1
Adult Meal x 1
6KG Hand Baggage x 1

We have booked with Thomas Cook next year (not vigin as we normally do) and I am sure we had to pay for meals both way when we booked the flight.

Also we paid to book seats both ways (choose where we sit not just book to get a seat ) but it still came up cheaper tha Virgin.

From what I can gather you actually do pay for the meals on board because they're an extra which you can take off, also when I flew with them last week they came to ask if we had ordered meals and I know that some people were left without food presumably because someone who removed them from their booking accepted the meal when asked if they wanted one.

Stupid really, should be clearer when booking the flight either that or offer as standard

When I booked my flights meals were just included as part of the price, there was no option to remove them. Everything else was an extra, but not the meals.

The only option with the meals was for you to to choose what you wanted, if you don't choose you just seem to be allocated the standard meal.

When my friend flew with them the year before meals were extra.
