Aaaaarghhhhh the price has gone up!

I priced up POR when the free Dining Plan first became available and adding the upgrade to the standard DDP came out at more or less the same price as SSR.

(We have done SSR for the last 3 times so fancied a change)

But today when I was actually going to book the price for POR and POFQ has gone up by about £200!

SSR and OKW are still the same price, not sure if its because it is a slightly better room.

I had been hoping to book before the $200 gift card offer finished and it had to be direct with WDW in case I need to move the dates.

When I looked yesterday there were no standard rooms on sale for POR, is that the same for your dates? Last year they took them off sale for a while but they came back later.

I booked AKL a month ago at 2500 each for 14 days Oct 2017 with MM, DDP and $200 with virgin then I checked 2 weeks later and it had gone up to 3300 each and then ive just checked 2 days ago and AKL isnt being advertised anymore for the dates were going

That is what happened last year apparently. I'm sure the free dining oracle will be along to confirm shortly.

They definitely did for POR last year. I booked a pool view room in late May as I was worried POR would sell out as we were going at Easter, but then they came back on sale not too long after, but I cant remember exactly when - sorry. I did think about ringing to change the room type as we booked direct with Disney and I think it would have been a £50.00 charge? but would still have made a saving, but we decided to keep the room we booked.

You could try hanging on until just before the $200 gift card offer ends and see if they come back on sale, or book a room now for peace of mind and then ring to change it to standard as above.

Standard rooms are still showing for our dates in August though.

i was going to book last week and the prices on the front screen had gone up and it was due to the standard rooms being sold out. Thankfully we were paying extra anyway to upgrade the room.
