Chessington for an almost 3 yr old
Hi,
We are planning a day out to Chessington end of may, just thought I'd see if anyone else has taken toddlers and how they found it? We don't have any older children will just be 3 of us .. from what I can see there are plenty of kiddy rides on the map but good to get some opinions overall as won't be a cheap day out 🙃 |

We took our then 3 year old a few years back, mid July, spent pretty much a whole week there (Mon-Fri). She loved it. Spent most of the time in the areas where the animals are. We and she had a great time.

I don’t know if they still do it but when my children were little they used to do a ‘toddler’ special rate, term time only. Much cheaper!

We went last October with our 2 year old and going back for the week before he is 3 (so we don't have to pay for him unlike Legoland) plenty of rides to do with Elmer, the Julia Donaldson books and animals to see. If your traveling have a look for the short breaks in the hotels or not too set for dates Sun Savers tickets.

You should enjoy it. There are different animal areas, have a look on their map on the website to give you an idea of where things are. They are dotted around the theme park and there is a specific zoo area also.
The Sealife centre (in my opinion) is "ok" but not great. We don't ever spend much time on that bit, we walk through just to say we've done it. When we go we like to spend a couple of days there that way we can take our time and make sure we do everything we want to so we don't feel like we're rushing around. What is disappointing at the moment (not check recently) is their offers aren't great. Last year (and before) if you booked a night in their hotels you got the second day in the park - last I checked you aren't getting this anymore!
