Managing membership

Hi all. DH and I are members at SSR, with DH listed as purchaser, with myself and my parents as co-purchasers. We use my account to manage bookings, etc.

I am also a co-purchaser on my parents contracts at BVV and BC, which my Mum manages.

Do you know if it is possible for more than one person/account to manage the contract/bookings?

I ask as my parents want to transfer points in to us but as you can only transfer once per year, we were trying to avoid using up the transfer. If one of us could manage a booking from both contracts that would be better.

Hi Dr J. Not as it stands but if it’s possible to request it, we can do. And vice versa for my parents on ours. Would we just call MS to set it up? Not something that came up until now

If you're named on the deed then, as you say, you can call MS and setup a login.

Been a few weeks but I have a related question. I did a chat session with DVC today about this and was provided with a club ID and one time passcode for the second contract. I was advised to create a new login with the same email address as my existing account, using the newly provided club ID.

I have tried to create an account using the same email address and, unsurprisingly, it says that an account with that email already exists - says to use a different one. I have spent a couple of hours trying to sort it. Chat is unavailable and I’m going round in circles.

You wouldn’t think I have worked in IT for over 25 years! I’m sure it’s something really simple I’m overlooking. Can anyone help please and save my sanity? On second thoughts, scratch that last bit - my sanity is beyond saving and left the building years ago

The only useful thing I can add is that if you go back on the dvc site chat usually appears after a few minutes if you refresh the page a few times.

Had another chat session as it was available again. Apparently there is an “internal issue” that is preventing them assigning multiple club IDs to the same member and they can’t merge accounts either. There is no ETA on when they will have the code “adjusted”. So frustrating.

I’ve managed to create a login using another email address and add the club ID to that. I’ve updated the contact email to my main address. Unfortunately that seems to have messed up my first account profile. I can still log in but can’t view any contact details. I guess I’ll have to call them later

I have so many issues with my Disney / dvc accounts. When I login in lists three accounts linked to one email address and then I have to select the correct one to get my dvc information.

Invariably I try the wrong one first. I’ve tried to have them removed / merged over the years but gave up in the end.
