It wasn't the last Ralston trip after all... - Day 5 (Hollywood Studios, Typhoon Lagoon & Raglan Rd)
The Cast
Me (Jo) - 35 DH (Kev) - 39 DS1 (Freddie) - 10 DS2 (Tommy) - 8 Monday 21st October 2013 For some reason we were awake at 5am this morning but made good use of the time catching up on sorting out my photos etc. We had a couple of Roaring Fork breakfast platters to share in the room (Kev & Freddie went down to fetch them) before heading in the car to Hollywood Studios. We arrived just after rope drop and headed to starring rolls for our second breakfast! It was very busy and hot again today! After breakfast we headed to Tower of Terror Stopping for some photopass photos on the way We used our fastpasses to ride. Although we got through to the first room quickly the queue seemed really slow once through the door. I think there was maybe only one or two elevators running. We all loved the ride as much as always. We queued up to add our photo to the photopass+ We then headed straight for Rock n Roller which we also all loved. I love how we can all ride these rides together so no parent switching! We added this photo to our photopass+ We the grabbed a coke float and frozen lemonade to cool down with while heading to Toy Story Mania. Standby wait time was showing as 120 mins! There was quite a queue for the fastpass line as the magic bands seem to take some people quite a while to get to work! It was really hot standing in the line to get in but once inside the queue moved quickly and was much cooler! Kev won on this occasion but only beat me by less than 2000 ! I will beat him next time

We drove round to Typhoon Lagoon. This was our first time here as it has previously always been closed.
We loved it and it was so nice to cool down in the heat. Also much quieter than the parks so good to get away from the crowds We spent some time lazing around in the lazy river and also rode a few of the slides but I don't have notes for which ones we rode... Kev took the boys to the Shark Reef but Tommy couldn't master the snorkel so he didn't end up doing the swim. They said it was very cold! After four hours in Typhoon Lagoon we headed back to the hotel and got changed.

We drove to Downtown Disney for our 6.45 Raglan Road ADR. (see food report for food photos)
We all really enjoyed this meal. The food was lovely and we enjoyed the music. The boys got up to join in with the Irish Dancing too. After Raglan Road we headed to Disney Quest and spend a couple of hours here. We left at 10pm and drove back to the hotel and all straight to bed! Shattered again!

Another great day Jo. Love the boys' faces on Rock 'n' Roller.
You WERE at Typhoon Lagoon the same afternoon as us, so it must have been you I spotted walking along while we were on the lazy river. It was very hot that day wasn't it? Nice to cool off at TL. Sounds like you had a nice meal at Raglan Road - great that the boys joined in the dancing. DisneyQuest looks like fun - I bet my Alex would like it there. Thanks for sharing. |
