Crying 2yo kicked off flight

cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilt...-son-1.3091165

Harsh decision by the airline but on reading further I started to question something. How do you secure a 2yo on your lap when you're 7 months pregnant and travelling alone?

That's going to be difficult, it does say in the article that her Nanny was with her but they don't appear to be sat together? If the story is as reported by the Mother and other passenger the treatment was harsh to say the least.

Why do I feel there is a whole other side to this story that hasn't been mentioned?

Ah...I missed the bit about the nanny being with her.

I did wonder about the physics of strapping a 2yo on her lap with a 7mth baby bump . I guess the original plan was for the child to sit on the nannys lap.

Suppose it depends on how big she was my hairdresser is 7 months pregnant and you can't ever tell she's having a baby , wouldn't be hard for her to sit a toddler on her knee .

But I generally find with these type of stories there is more to it than what's reported .

The airline say the child wasn't safely seated and was in the aisle. I can see them returning if there was a child in the aisle, they can't take off in that scenario.

The child is 23 months old. So legally OK on a lap.
