as far as i understand they are only changing the fireworks for the summer. Wishes will be back in late August!

I think they are testing the perimeter fireworks ready for the 40th anniversary fireworks.

I remember being amazed by the electrical parade way back when. My mum still talks about it!
But I did love Wishes last year.

So if ELP is a summer limited run, will Spectromagic be back by October when I go? Is Wishes gone forever or is that a summer limited run?

Nooooo! We are going end of May through to 12th June so looks like we will be missing Wishes and Spectromagic. Saw the ELP years ago when I was a little girl so it will be nice to bring back some memories but gutted for my sister and parents who have never seen W or S. So disappointed that we won't see Wishes... love that...pure Disney magic.

I hope wishes is back by the time we go in August! I was gonna use this year to wish for a tall, dark (or fair not really fussy )handsome stranger to come my way 'cause we all know Disney wishes come true right? LOL!

Seriously though, am gutted about this, love spectro and wishes is always my holiday highlight!

I will miss those but it's exciting for me to think next time there will be something different to see.

We have only been twice but seen Wishes (the pinnacle of firework displays in my mind, never bothered to see another in the UK since!) a fair few times, just hearing the music makes DGF cry.

But all good things must come to an end and this is all part of the competition from Harry Potter, and to be fair in 6 years the displays not changing before had made me curious.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for the replacement to be even better when we go in 2013!
