With another dining passport reward voucher to use we headed across to the Dolphin again, this time to Shula’s.
  The refurbished dining room has been tastefully made over in the last 12 months making it a lot lighter than it used to be. Elderflower elyxir Silver lining.  Bread n butter  Cajun Shrimp  Crab cakes  Nice touch of spice in the Shrimp and the crab was nice too. Surf and turf  Perfectly medium rare  Twin cold water lobster tails  Beautifully cooked and tasty mains, tender sweet lobster tails and a great filet. Potato gratin  Creamed truffled corn  Sides were excellent, possibly the best two we’ve had. First go at the check  Then we throw TIW and the voucher into the mix Much better   Service was excellent too. not only did our server bend the rules slightly on the voucher to my advantage he relaxed from the usual ‘posh starched service’ which I find a little over the top to chatting about the Manchester music scene and bringing Chef Alan ( An Oldham ex pat ) over for a chat. We first met Alan way back in 2007 when he heard us leaving the restaurant and commented over the pass on our ‘local accents’ Stop by and see him - he knows how to cook great steaks. |

Looking to go to Shula's on next trip, it always looks good. Great deal with the money off, considering the AP/TIW option too.

Oo great food choices , I’m stuffed just reading about it lol. Love a glass of Pinot , still think alcohol prices are ridiculous though.

I have Shulas's and Todd English booked for September, but we were thinking about dropping one of them last night. This does look really nice, the corn side looks interesting.
