We’ve always brought back chocolate, candles and wax melts in out hold suitcases with no issues. We check in at Disney Springs so they are in the trucks in the sun for ages too.
For a big glass candle this year I asked in our resort gift shop for some packaging which they were happy to give. Though he did go a bit over the top packaging wise à la Rowan Atkinson in Love Actually |

I brought candle jars home in my cabin case. They showed up on the x ray machine and a security officer unwrapped and swabbed every one of them. Took ages.
Since then I take some bubble wrap with me so I can put candles in my hold bags safely. |

Hold bags often sit on the tarmac at airports. We have often brought chocolates back from Florida and they are melted around 75% of the time. But they still taste good. And we now take some home in hand baggage.

I always have a cooler backpack with me for around the parks and a cooler bag that we keep in the boot for ice-cream so pack the bulk of our chocolates in this inside our case with our ice packs and never had a problem.
Have never bought candles or wax melts but if you're worried you could do the same with these by buying a cool bag over there to pack them in with the added insulation. |

We've never had chocolate melt in hold luggage or hand luggpage, the boss loves her Yankee candles though and takes them carry on, a couple of years ago she accidentally packed a jar of strawberry jelly and peanut butter with them, security didn't like that at all. 😞

We had our chocolate melt last year but I think it was more because our suitcases were in the boot of the car at MK for the day before we went to the airport.

I always bring back chocolate from Florida! Usually in the form of Ghirardelli's, but also trick or treat candy from MNSSHP if I happen to have gone for them. I've never had an issue with them melting...
They get packed in my hold luggage, which I leave with left luggage at my Disney resort on day of check-out, then brought along with me on Magical Express (or Uber) to MCO, and checked in. They have also been subsequently transferred across various airports on the way home (including via London), and inevitably when I reach home (tropical climate) I will open my bag to find them cold - as the aircraft hold isn't heated and usually gets pretty cold!
