This is not a glitch. This is done purposefully so that parties travelling together, even if not staying at the same place, can plan their itineraries together.

So for example, im coming from the UK and I can afford to stay on site. Then my parents and brother and family are coming down from Canada, but they can’t afford to stay on site. Disney allows the linking in MDE so that parties can make their bookings and plans together. Disney is family friendly and this is part of how they make it work for families. Otherwise what would be the point of meeting up for a Disney holiday if you can’t do any of it together.

As I said you may not think it’s fair (personally I do, and appreciate it), but it’s not a glitch

I haven’t read the whole thread yet, but even though you are all linked in MDE, only the people named as guests in your room will have the parking privileges and (for another example) room charging privileges associated with the booking. The others are linked to your MDE for adr and FP Booking privileges but that’s a separate part of the system. If everyone on your MDE had all your hotel privileges imagine your bill when you find out they’ve charged all their purchases to your room LOL

Hopefully that’s helped illustrate the difference.
