The thing that surprised me was when I ordered sweet potato fries and they were covered in cinnamon sugar 😱 They were truly awful! Fries should be salty/savoury!

Pancakes it has to be sugar and lemon, nothing else.
Waffles, maple syrup strawberries and a huge dollop of squirty cream  I couldn't mix sweet and savoury either unless it's popcorn .

I can cope with the bacon and maple syrup but a burger on a donut ... no way that's wrong!

I can't do the sweet and savoury thing at all so I can't cope with bacon and maple syrup together it's just wrong. I always ask for it separate and it's never been a problem.
My DH loves bacon with pancakes drenched in maple syrup - I think he's crazy. Then again he just can't understand how I can enjoy steak and eggs for breakfast 😀 |

I'm in the no camp for sausages with pancakes. My grandson however, loves them together.

When in NYC we had pancakes, bacon, fried egg, and maple syrup, it was delicious!
