Ah ok thanks, I'll definitely check online then if that's the case, thanks

I kept telling her I didn't need it as I had an annual policy that covered me as due to having pre existings her insurance would be void if anything happened medically. She was having none of it! So I walked out and went home & booked it online, where I got exactly what I wanted for £30 less than the in store price. I don't think there's any need to book an appointment to be honest. The sales lady didn't believe me when I said I booked Florida diy and now much money I had saved doing it that way, she was really snooty with me and it put me off booking in a store.

Also, don't forget their deposit scheme, I didn't realise this when I first started looking as paid £300 deposit and then another £500 6 weeks later for the full deposit, had to borrow from my dad so it didn't put a dent in the Florida spends!
Brilliant thank you! I'm going to be up early hours to check online then! Funny enough I did a dummy booking with dates in April and I just spotted the deposit terms! Good to know so I can start putting away now for 6 weeks! Thanks

Ooh yes good tip! My hubby mentioned quidco last night. Must not forget that because I think it's something like 4.5% which is fantastic!

I dont badger them but i tell them i want to book with them but i dont want to pay the online price. On average i pay about £700 less per holiday. Their commission on their own holidays is around 15% so dont expect more than that off. But you should be able to get 10%easy

Just tweeted them to ask whether their fly-drive packages and flight only go on sale tomorrow also or is it just full packages. We will be booking our accommodation separate so looking for a good fly-drive deal like we got last time or at least our flights.

Ah would you let me know when they reply? Only we were going to check the prices of flight only too to compare DIY prices. Thanks!

My travel shop only opens at 10am tomorrow. Does anyone know if you can book 3 weeks online or does that have to be in the store? I've tried dummy bookings for this August and only seem to do 2 weeks.

Thomson replied to my tweet. They said fly-drives will be on sale tomorrow (didn't mention flight only) and they will be able to book online, in store and on the booking phone line. When we went in 2015, we booked in June 2014, fly-drives were not available online at all back then so I just called them up and ended up booking it on the phone but it was actually speaking to a shop in Maidstone. I am a bit dubious as to whether the fly-drives will be on tomorrow but we shall see and hopefully they will be! Hope everyone gets a good deal!
