They do appear to be rather good at keeping familys together in a row going by past comments.

I agree BA have done well on this as a family friendly policy.
This is only a personal opinion... and a dour one... but part of me feels we might not be able to rely on it in future, now that BA charge for seat selection like all other airlines. Paying for seat selection is one of those topics like 'is it ok to recline your seat?', or 'should ginger haired folk be allowed to fly?'. Discussions can go south very quickly. But given that BA have been cost cutting like crazy and are about to squeeze in a 10th seat in each economy row on their 777s, I foresee shenanigans ahead. |

I don't know, they've been charging for a wee while now and this policy has stayed.
The more people that pre book, however, the less chance of the whole family being allocated together if they wait. Can't say I'm looking forward to the squash of the new refit. I for one though would be happy if they removed the recline function while they are at it!

You're spot on about the charging not being new. And I'd rather you are proven right instead of my gloomy viewpoint.
Bizarrely Newsnight just did a piece on BA, 10 minutes ago. Talk about coincidence! They examined BA's worsening reputation for cheapskate policies and poor value for money. They concluded that we can expect more of the same because BA's profits have rocketed in recent years and are onto a winning formula, even if at the expense of their fading reputation as the UK's flagship airline. |

Hi. We are flying from Gatwick on a Boeing 777. It's 3,3,3 I think.

Excited about Disney

We got allocated today for our Thursday flight. 6 in a row on the first flight and 2x3 on the second flight. Delighted, especially as we've bagged £210 worth of seats which are better than any we would have paid for.
