Depends on the flight. Philadelphia has seat back IFE. Chicago doesn't
Check the flight on seatguru and it'll tell you what's available. I booked via Chicago for this August without checking and it was a long flight without it

We travelled with them to LAX this June codeshare with BA
Flight to Philadelphia - awesome Flight Philadelpha to LAX, they had no food even to purchase and we didn't buy any so we were little hungry. They were sold out of sandwiches. No entertainment on it. We had crisps purchased to bring to an Irish in LA and lets say they didn't get any! lol. It was ok apart form that. To be perfectly honest I would have no issues flying again with them but I had level of comfort that my booking is with BA and not sure if booking direct with them would be any issue in event of schedule changes. The food and entertainment to Philadelphia were excellent ... for flight food and compared to BA

This is so tempting and it will sort some of my summer child care challenges, but can we brave the heat and the crowds!

It depends on the aircraft.
Go to AA web site and put your date in to see which aircraft it is. If it's an A330, then yes, seatback IFE, if it's 767 then probably no. We did Dub-PHL-MCO last august. The plane from DUB was an A330, ex United Airlines plane, very nice. The flight from PHL to MCO was the Glasgow to PHL flight, which then turns into the PHlL to MCO flight, this was a 767 and only had centre roof screens, poor scots 8 hours with very poor ife.. Whilst our flights were in business, my video can give you an idea of the flights

I was just talking about transatlantic. The shorter flights entertainment wasn't an issue for us but here's the details anyway
Dub to chicago - 767, overhead TVs Chicago to Philadelphia - 737, overhead TV, free streaming of the AA catalogue on phone, tablet Orlando to Philly - A321, no TVs, free streaming as above Philly to Dub - A330, full seat back IFE
