Free Parking

We are travelling as a group but me and DH are staying onsite, whereas the rest of our family are staying off-site. We're linked together on MDE (and I'm able to make fastpass bookings for everyone 60 days out), but my question is whether the other family members will be able to park for free at the parks?

The reason I'm lead to believe they will is because the parking is linked to tickets in the same way that fastpasses are, aren't they? So if our Disney hotel booking is allowing the entire group to make fastpasses, would the same principle apply to free park-parking?

no because the free parking is linked to your magic band which is linked to your room. so only people staying in the room can get free parking. A way around this would be to add the people to your room (if occupancy allows)

Have you already been able to make fastpasses for everyone at 60 days? That's really unusual, as you shouldn't have been able to - only those on the room booking.

In the same vein they should pay for parking, as they aren't staying onsite.

we got a a4 sheet of paper in 2016 when we stayed at the all stars

We got one when we stayed at OKW in 2014, and went back to reception to ask for it when we stayed in September 2016, but they told us we didn't need one, it was linked to our magic band.

Yes all our party can make fastpass reservations despite just two of us holding a room booking. I think this is quite widely known as there's been other threads on the forum about this before, however I haven't heard much about whether this extends to the parking privileges. In theory it should in my opinion, but would be useful to know of anyone had experience of this.

no idea, but if it does mean that, ppl could technically add other people to their booking and give them free parking...

We're staying onsite so get the free parking - can we still park at another hotel then enter the parks from there still for free? For example breakfast at ohana then get monorail to MK? Because the car won't have a sign how will Disney know?
Any offsite guests could do this so how do they monitor?

The offsite group wont be able to park for free, and neither should they either.
