You can order as you're leaving the park but then they can't see you on the app so ring you if its busy, or walk to the Hard Rock hotel and order one from there

The place where the Uber will drop them is also the location of valet parking. We always do this when we go to Universal as we get it free with annual pass. If you get there early enough - i.e. before 5 - you can prepay and for us it was around $15. If you don’t prepay it will be the normal price which will be around $30 I believe. Either way it works out cheaper than 2 Uber trips.

Really? That may be a better option, as I think my sister is going to struggle to get Wi-Fi coverage from the sound of it, unless they walk towards one of the hotels.

Lots to consider! Thanks for all the responses so far, really helpful.

The only place we couldn’t get WiFi for all our trips in August was at the taxi/bus rank outside Universal one night. We just popped on a bus to Cabana Bay and ordered from outside their lobby using their WiFi

As a general strategy we used it a couple of times at Disney too. Not for lack of WiFi, just to avoid the crowds. We jumped on a resort bus that looked like t was leaving

If the phone is unlocked to any network, just get a prepaid 3 Sim for £20, allows 12 GB of data abroad.

I have one re-activate for every trip.

Used Uber from Universal loads last year and had no problems with wi-fi at the taxi rank / bus station.
It did get busy after a HHN but waited max of 10 minutes.
One top tip is get an Uber in and out of HRH on HHN’s. It’s half the walk to the park enterance, good wi-fi at the hotel and a lot less busy.
