Sounds exciting... I think Disney needs a new rollercoaster to rival those in IoA.
Looking forward to finding out more

I hope they don't close Everest until after we've been in August - it's our favourite ride!

How long would the new coaster take to build?

Inverter coasters "hang" from the track. Examples would be Nemisis at Alton Towers or Dueling Dragons at IOA.

I prefer this type as they always seem smoother and you dont get the stomach twisting drop of a standard coaster!

Thats what we always say as well, hoping they really go ahead with it.

It was funny as when we went on EE last Oct it was ds first time. We sat at the front and I told him when the yeti would jump out so he woulkdn't be scared... but it never did. Afterwards I was saying to DH how gutted I was there was no scary yeti and he said it never had moved too begin with... I showed him it on u-tube.

OMG! I love Monsters Inc and this coaster would truly make HS. It's my favourite park, but the development of Pixar Place is so exciting! Let's hope it's done by Septembre 2012 when we travel and in time for the 40th birthday celebrations!

I read/watched somewhere that the yeti is extremely heavy and the movement of the animatronic causes the arm and head motors to over strain - this has been an issue with the yeti since the ride was first built.

I'm looking forward to EE as alongside RRC it's the only coaster in WDW I haven't been on (I think!). I'm sure the ride itself won't been lessened as an experience with the strobe-yeti in place.

RE: Monsters Inc coaster - with MINC2 set for release in 2012, Disney will be looking to get the new coaster ready by then I'm sure. I need an excuse for a return in 2012 aswell!

Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 next year aswell - those Pixar animators are busy aren't they!

Hope it is up and running and they manage to do smaller refurbs rather than one HUGE one! It wouldn't be fait to have it non-operational for 6 months!

Was going to post same thing...we've said for years now that the 'Door' ride in this film would make a great coaster or ride of some sort...Bring it on..We love Monsters Inc!
