OH and DS bought some bits and bobs in EAT this year. They said it was pretty good. Is there a Pret a Manger there too?

I don't touch plane food. Boots have several decent salads and nice tubs of fresh fruit. Sadly no M&S airside at Manchester T2.

We usually fly from Manchester however due to the distance we stay overnight near the airport so are unable to make sandwiches to take with us. I picked up some lovely samosas in Selfridges at the Trafford Centre one year, kept them in the car overnight so they were chilled.
This year we fly Manchester to Heathrow before catching the flight to Miami so am hoping that there will some choices in Terminal 3 at Heathrow for me to pick up something to take with me. Not that I dislike airline food but it tends to be the sandwich choice for the afternoon tea I'm not impressed with.

Mine always have a cooked breakfast at the airport, i usually have toast or a croissant. Then my kids who are nearly all adults get sandwiches and crisps from boots or Wh Smiths to take on, then pringles on baord and usaually eat the bread roll and the cheese and biscuits out of the airline meal.

Pret sandwich as find them very filling and more interesting than the average prepacked sandwich.

just a plain ham and a cheese sandwhich and a large bottle of water.
We take crisps and a banana from home. Usually have a bacon sandwich at the airport which keeps us going until the airline food. I really don't mind it, the breakfast are a bit dire sometimes but that's not too bad as we can eat when we get home. |
