Heathrow - Air Canada boarding gate?

Air Canada fly from the new Terminal 2 at Heathrow. Does anyone know how long the walk takes from the air-side shops to the boarding gate? Don't want to leave it too late! Is it a very long way? Anyone done it? Thanks, had a panic at Gatwick once & only just made it to the gate!

Yes, it is an epic walk.

With a family, I would factor in a good 20 minutes from T2 A to T2 B.

If you want to eat, stay in T2A -- lots of choices.

Thanks everyone. It's actually my granddaughter & boyfriend that are doing their first long haul on their own, so checking up in the hope that they might make it. We are going on a different flight from Gatwick. So Smelli look out for two bewildered young people, babes in the wood really! Fingers crossed!

I work at Heathrow and Terminal 2A to B is about 10 to 15 min's depending on what gate at T2B you need to go to.As others have said stay in Terminal 2A as there are more shops and places to eat then take a stroll to B when the gate numbers are displayed:

10-minutes? I don't think so. Not only was I on one of the T2 trials, but I flew on UA from T2 back in October.

Allow 15 - 20 minutes - especially with carry-on.

I'm glad someone asked this question. I'm flying with Air Canada in a few weeks and had no idea about the trek!

Did it last week, absolutely ages! I think you go under the runway/apron at one point.

There are not many facilities there, but if you are using the Maple leaf Lounges they are close by the gates.

By the way, the US immigration at Toronto was a breeze, really easy to use and lots of yellow coated helpers around. The immigration guy just described our luggage to us and then sent us on our way.
You will also pass through Canadian Border Control (not the normal immigration hall) on the return trip and oddly you DO need to fill in the blue customs form. I have no idea why as we were not "entering" Canada, but their country, their rules I suppose.
