I've just amended the booking as it said refund(I thought I would juct check cc and make sure I don't get charged). The confirmation has come through with a refund £38.10 so I have proof.
Thanks for posting as I do check but not every day so that's saved me on my weeks car hire |

Glad I checked this thread. Alamo Brits booking had gone down by£30. I've now amended the booking. It appears to have gone through and now awaiting the refund in my account.

Thanks for the heads up OP.
The prices have dropped compared to recently for our 15-day May trip. A standard SUV is now £458 with Alamo Brits, down from £544 recently, but still some way from the £339 I got at the end of November For our 17-day trip in November/December, the price have actually gone up ~£15 for a full-size car compared to recently (I've not booked anything for this trip yet, just keeping an eye for the time being).

It's odd isn't it - I will keep checking and amending if they become cheaper right until we go x

I didn't get an amazing deal - it's just the prices at Alamo seem to do a crazy yo yo thing - I think £420 for 17 days for an suv is a lot compared with prices other years, however I'm travelling to Texas this time, so maybe car hire is just cheaper in Florida?
