Hi,

This year we are going to take a road trip in June from our home in the Yorkshire Dales up to Applecross in Scotland. Any Dibbers have advice on where to stay/what to see on the way in-between?
We only have a week x

TIA

In applecross they have little wigwams, I’m pretty sure there is also a few self catering cottages as well. We stayed in the wigwams then went to the local pub for dinner which was a 10 minute walk.
If you have time I’d recommend going over to Isle of Skye

Definitely pop into Plockton. The Plockton Shores Restaurant is really good if you like seafood.

If you are planning a road trip, I would definitely recommend taking the A82 after Glasgow up to Inverness before joining the A9 at Inverness. That road takes you through Glencoe, Loch Lomond, Fort William, passed Ben Nevis, Loch Ness and has some of the most beautiful scenery.

Hi Minne,

Yes it will be A9 to Applecross which will be our final destination before returning home - not sure of other plans yet x
