Thanks! I’ll have to keep looking as I’ve been getting around £1000 each for 6 of us. Do flights open 11 months to the day, do people book outbound and inbound at different times?

Tinkjon - when did you book these flights please and did you book direct online with virgin?

Thanks

£3200 for 2 adults and 2 children direct from Manchester next August for 15 nights. That sounds a decent price doesn't it? With checked in bags and reserved seats. That's with Thomas Cook. Am I likely to get less than £800 each direct in the school hols when the virgin flights come available?

It’s so difficult finding decent prices that don’t overlap with school times. If I could find direct for £600 that’s sounding a bargain.

Last year we used Travel Planners and they got us a brilliant price United via New York to Tampa. Worth ringing them just for a quote to find dates and prices, not forced to book with them but just gives a rough idea. We were group of 8 and got flights, villa 6 bed exec Champions Gate Oasis club 1 week and 2 x 7 seat mini vans for £6,592 (7A+1C). Only paid £100 per person deposit and balance 12 weeks before travel.

VA never dropped for us! In Leicestershire we go back to school earlier so that doesn’t help. We are flying 5th August returning on 22nd August. We’d have got cheaper if we’d returned the next week.
We paid £3500 (2 adults 1 young adult 1 child). BA direct to Tampa with 18 days car hire (Chevy Tahoe). Returning PE. The benefit of including a car is only needing to pay a deposit.
