Such a shame that your mum has to wait yet another week but in my experience the breast doctors really know their stuff and wouldn’t be saying not to worry if there was something to worry about. X

Thank you 🥰 I definitely think its just a tiny cyst and too small to drain. The doctor was so lovely and so reassuring. My poor mum was having a panic attack whilst topless so she was upset, worried and embarrassed. However the doctor and nurse were amazing.

It's only human nature to worry, but you are giving her the love and support she needs. Sending you and your mum a big hug.

Hopefully it turns out as the dr suggests, I can imagine how your Mum feels, Ive been in similar situations (although nothing potentially life threatening but still very worrying and stressful) and you get worked up, but think at least youll know... then to have to wait again is awful and everything thats been racing around you mind comes to the surface all at once in one huge rush. Im glad the staff were good to her too. And most of all she has your lobe and support. And both of you have the dibbs too. Hooe the week flies by for you both xxxxxxx

I work in breast imaging, and it is not at all unusual for a cyst not to drain. There are lots of technical reasons for this, including it having a really thick wall, cyst being too small, or the contents can be very viscous. We do exactly the same and put a marker in after a biopsy to be able to locate the area accurately if hecessary next time. So this all sounds very routine x🤞🏻
