kindle help

Hi all i want to get my son a kindle he has really got into reading whats a good one i want a good size one but I have no idea what one to get?

I have had a Kindle since they were launched many years ago.

I have no idea of current prices but I can see there is a decent reduction on one in the Black Friday sale �79.99 down from �149.99 Worth a look.

I've had a few over the years since they were released and have now got the Paperwhite. It's the best one I've had, especially with the back lit screen that means I don't need a light to read it, there's no screen glare or eye strain etc - it's not the sane as a tablet or phone screen. However, I've not looked at the new versions so there may be an upgrade available now.

If it's just for basic reading, the cheapest kindle is fine.

The biggest screen is the Oasis, which I have, but I'm a prolific reader and use the Bluetooth audio function at times.

As Mr Tom says, there are some really good deals on them right now.

Ignore the stated �149.99 "regular price" though - it's fibbing.

The standard price of the new generation Paperwhite is �139.99, so why would the older less-good one cost more?

They have only just knocked a few quid off this new Paperwhite, now down to �114.99 so if that's within your budget, and you can stretch from the �79.99, it's what I'd go for right now - amazon/kindle-pape...7575651&sr=8-1

I agree the Paperwhite is the best. As PP no glare, no light required. Really easy to use anytime anywhere.

How old is your son? The kids kindle is great value. Comes with a years free access to Kindle Kids with loads of free books and a case.
