Mobile Copenhagen where to stay?

Looking at doing a Christmas market in December for a 3 night girls break. Fancy going to the Tivoli gardens and a market or Germany. Would prefer to fly from Southend or Stansted. If we opt for Copenhagen where is a good area to stay please? If we go for Germany any preferences on markets? We went to a small one in the Harz mountains area years ago and really enjoyed it.

We stayed at The 71 Nyhavn Hotel at the harbour, fab location, lovely rooms and great breakfast

The Xmas markets were down the harbour sides and the others were within walking distance, Tivoli Gardens is just beautiful in December.

Word of warning Copenhagen is very very expensive so plan ahead with your spending money

When you say expensive how expensive please? We found Dubrovnik more expensive than other places in Europe. I'm currently looking at Copenhagen, Vienna, Düsseldorf, Berlin or Nuremberg.

We went to Berlin, end of Nov last year. All the Christmas markets are great but our favourite was the one near the Kaiser Wilhelm Church. Berlin was also very cheap to eat/drink and travel around. Would definitely recommend.
